3.5 mm adapter plugs into a 3.5mm stereo socket and converts it to a dual 3.5 mm stereo socket. Great for sharing radios or CD players with a friend.

OK, but not great
Even though it appears to be a stereo splitter, I am only getting one channel in the devices I plug into this splitter.

Monaural
I don't know if mine was defective or not, but when I did some R/L channel tests, I was only getting the left channel. I used an Ohmmeter and found that two of the connections were shorted, so it was effectively monaural.
I also purchased an AD-54 at the same time, which is a Y splitter. I verified that to be stereo. It's only 15 cents more (at the time of this writing) and it fits better in some places (because it's not as bulky). I need another splitter so I'll probably buy the AD-54 instead of taking my chances with this one (although there's not much to complain about at $1.20).

Cheap
I bought one of these for 7 bucks(!) at radio shack. It is great for hooking up a laptop to a stereo system.
