MINI-STEREO AUDIO AMPLIFIER W/ SPEAKERS

The first one I purchased was dead so I sent it back to AE for an exchange. They made the exchange and refunded my shipping.
I then set about to fit the amplifier and speakers to use on my motorcycle while riding the long stretches of highway.
I added the LM7806 voltage regulator to replace the batteries and connected the regulator to a 12volt power source on the bike.
I then hardwired a speaker out mini jack so I could disconnect the speakers when I was off the bike. I rewired the speakers to mini plug and installed them inside my helmet in the ear pockets. Now I don't have ear buds stuck in my ears for hours at a time.
The cushioning of the helmet's ear pockets make a tight seal so the music isn't lost from wind noise.
I'm ordering another AMP-5 today to have as a spare.

i bought 2 as these liitle finds from AE as they tend to pay-off. Sure Nuff, 1st one was a dud. PCB is easy to get to and was covered with a white powder on the solder side. ROHS wins again. Silver solder whiskers. Scrubbed with a dry soft bristle toothbrush, blew the dust off and it worked just dandy. It's going to need it from time to time. The speakers are a waste. It's a little under powered with the batt pack but it perks up with a 9V supply and the caps and chips can handle the voltage. Thanks AE. Another golden find.
