Very adaptable
This has a small core with 80 turns #26 enamelled wire, soldered to the two pins. It's easy to lower the inductance by unwinding, or completely replacing it. Recommended.

Looks like it can be used..
It looks like it can be used in a LED blocking oscillator circuit (AKA 'Joule Thief') by winding another winding over the top of the existing winding. It would be easy to cut the lead and unwind several turns to give a bit more room for the second winding. I've done this on occasion, but it's not necessary if you use the two transistor circuit. Usually the inductors I use are 100 to 180uH. More on my blog at watsonseblog.blogspot.com.

GREAT WITH LM2575
A cost-effective inductor for a
1-Amp switching regulator.

Works extremely well as pulse source for battery r
I have used this choke in the homebuilt lead acid battery desulfator circuit with excellent results. It's very low DC resistance and inductance value make it ideal for this application - it is an incredible value for the home experimenter.
