Holy cow... this thing is ridiculously loud for its small size! EXTREMELY loud... PAINFULLY LOUD is a very accurate description. High pitched, annoying as can be. I LOVE IT!!!!!
To test it out, I simply wired in a basic toggle switch and powered it with a 9V battery. LOUD...

not what I expected but still great for other jobs
I bought 2 of these for a vehicle. they sound nothing like a police siren. and really are not that loud. nothing for a vehicle moving and even for a car alarm. it would be quite embarrassing for anyone to hear this thing on my truck.

definitely very loud and very annoying! a person can only tolerate this thing for extremely short durations of time. great multi-purpose item... highly recommended for anyone looking to rig up an alarm system.

EXCRUCIATING
So good it hurts! I am building an intrusion alarm for my RV. It uses two of these, and just one is absolutely unbearable at 20'. They will keep the riffraff out!
