Comes in blue, red, aluminum and black. No choice of colors, unless you order box of 12 which contains three of each color. Operates on three AAA cells.

I just received this flashlight today. All I can say is wow. Nice soft switch on the end cap, batteries were included. Heavy gauge metal case, very bright. This flashlight is built very well. I highly recommend it.

These flashlights closely match the brightness of ones with 3 times as many LEDs. Lots of light!
I removed the individual LEDs from it to use in a model R/C car. They are among the brightest T-1¾-size white LEDs I've played with (I powered each LED through an 82Ω resistor off 7.2 volts).

Decent enough light
I bought 2 of these to use as headlights in a scale model. the aluminum casing is threaded at the butt switch and an inch below the lens. the LED assy and lens are held in with a spring clip.
The 9 led's are wired in parallel with no resistors on board. I ballasted them with a single 15 Ohm 3 Watt resistor while running it at 6 volts.
