tons of power
This and all lead acid batteries can draw many more amps than other batteries, even lithium ion batteries. This particularly battery is the smallest one available: great for portable super-high-power/"low"-battery-life (pound for pound) applications. For example I connected a pair of these to a focused (1.38"D, CAT# HLP-350) 35W halogen lamp for a blindingly bright flashlight. Lasts less than 15 minutes, but who cares: it's rechargeable and lasts plenty long enough for all the common applications that don't involve leaving the city. Don't use either 50W lamp for this purpose: they are flood lights not spot lights. Unfortunately the lamp bases are sold out, find another 0.2" 2 pin socket. Built it in minutes with a bit of tightly wrapped duct tape. Poked the lamp pins right through the duct tape covering the socket. ~$19-$20 in parts if you include a switch and wall transformer to charge (see previous review, increase voltage if charging 2 in series).

Sealed rechargable battery
This is an amazing little battery. Not that I am using it under heavy use, but I substituted this instead of having to buy AAA batteries all the time for my radio. To charge this battery, all you need is a 9 volt dc wall wart and let it trickle. These batteries can stand a charge for long time, so no need to set timers, etc. If you are thinking of buying one for experiments, by all means, go for it !
