Any RMS wattage specs?
Uh, before I buy these I'm wondering if anyone here knows the RMS wattage of the tweeters, Because I'm hooking these up to a 600 watt system along with a 400 watt woofer and 150 watt Peizo tweeter and I'm just curious if my amp will incinerate these or not.
Oh yeah, i melted off the tabs on my Peizo tweeters, so yeah, soldering, NOT GOOD IDEA PEOPLE! what you should do is hook up them via spade tabs (aka crimp) but be sure to loosen the crimp strength before you hook them up, too much force will break them. Amazing sound for price... bad build quality
The sound is quite good considering the price, you probably won't be disappointed if you don't break them. The terminals are very fragile, I think one of mine came broken actually. The terminal is soldered to a copper wire that's like a human hair (It's difficult to see even). One of the terminals was a bit loose, and the wire broke. So I had to very carefully add a tiny piece of wire and solder it back on... so it works for now. They are very easy to take apart, just three screws.
For the price, I doubt you can beat the sound! I think it sounds better than a $25 paper or cloth fiber tweeter perhaps.

Don't Solder To The Terminals
This is a very nice tweeter with a bit of an upper zing. For the guy who roached 5 of these...you DESERVE Bose...none of their speakers use a part of this level quality (I'm a former employee) Bose products are the convenience store burrito of the hifi world with Prime Rib prices. Perhaps they've conned you into thinking the Emperor has clothes...but being a Boseombie is nothing I'd admit in a public place ;-)

Don't solder these, use slip-on connectors!
The type of terminals used on these tweeters require the slip-on type connectors. You crimp and/or solder the wires to the slip-on connectors first, then slip them over the terminals on the tweeter. Many speakers on the market are designed to be connected this way, and heat really should not be applied around some speakers so to avoid voice coil misalignment and/or magnet damage.

Impressive for a budget tweet!
Picking up my review on the GW-2088, I found these to be very complimentary to those woofers. They are a bit more sensitive than the GW-2088's, but an adjustable resistor will solve that. These provide some excellent HF detail. I discovered that my amp was defective! They are a little hot on the high end, but a tweak on the treble control solves that. I played a test track that had birds chiping. The realism was astonishing. Good stuff!
Oh - for the soldering issue - DON'T. Spend 30 cents and use the push-on connector!
