Cree XLamp(TM) 7090AMB. Extremely high-brightness white LED, capable of operating at 1 Watt and above. Long-life, solid-state, low-voltage and current light, ideal for architectural, landscaping, advertising and entertainment applications. The surface mount LED is mounted on a 0.80" diameter aluminum disk which serves as a heatsink and provides solder spots to simplify connection.Note: These are new parts. Because of their sensitivity to misuse, we cannot guarantee them after voltage has been applied.

High brightness, wide-angle illumination
I use two of these to illuminate an RC model aircraft which I fly after dark. At 200 mA, no additional heatsinking is necessary and there is already plenty of light. The blue and green LED's drop about 3.2 V each at 200 mA, the red one drops about 2 V at 200 mA. At currents higher than about 300 mA, heatsinks are necessary, especially on green and blue LEDs

nice
They are f'in bright, cant look at them directly. They are very nice for sign backlighting, or other small lighting jobs. I used 10 of them for backlighting a menu board. I used ((5V/8A, 3.3V/4A, 2.5V/2A POWER SUPPLY)) to power it, with some 3 watt sand resistors. These puppies need heat syncs to cool them off.
