ULTRABRIGHT WHITE LED, 5MM 15 DEG

This is a phosphor-based LED, and its color is not quite uniform: Slightly bluish in the middle, fading to yellowish around the periphery. Nice and bright, though, and with a very nicely diffuse falloff instead of a distracting "spotlight" shape.

Also surprisingly resilient against mishandling: I accidentally drove it at 4V for a short period (enough to instantly fry most LEDs of this type) and it took it like a champ.

We wired up 9 of these off a 12v battery in my friend's cabin, which is 24' x 24'. They put out a cool blue light, plenty to see to get around and easy on the eyes.

They work great.
