All around, Great Quality kit!
Well made kit.
Nice thick heavy duty PCB.
Nice patterns.
Good firmware on the chip.
The main chip is: Microchip's PIC16F627A microcontroller.
Hate that the UART pins are used for LED outputs (not to be confused with ICSP).

Perfect
I bought this to run my CHRISTmas lights. I added relays on the outputs to run 110 volts and I am good to go. The kit came with everything I needed and was somewhat easy to put together. I like the IC socket so you don't burn it soldering it in. One drawback is the output setting--you would have to solder that in--I put in some jumper posts in each one so you can easily move from one to ten, other than that I love it!

works great
I used the: CAT# MK-111 to act as the pushbutton to switch between programs and am using them for my CHRISTmas light display with the relays I bought from here as well.

Well made kits, nice patterns, only one direction
Easy to construct, creative patterns, but it will not count back down or go back & forth like a Cylons visor, or count up & stop without an external relay triggered by the last output. If anyone can tinker a count down effect, please publish it here.

All around, Great Quality kit!
Easy to get together, and works like a charm! I'm using it to control 12vdc ledex solenoids to manipulate the path of my argon/ion laser!..
