Wires get hot
This power supply does exactly what it says, but the A/C power cord that is supplied has such thin wire that the A/C wires get very warm when the power supply is providing 10 amps at 12 volts. The red/black DC pigtails are VERY thin wires, and they actually get hot. Better to replace the A/C cord that comes with the power supply with something heftier, and to rewire the pigtails also.

A small, light PS with portability! Great for Hams...
Most Ham operators like me cannot pick up the shack's PS and move it out to an emergency site, if the radio is not operrated off the car battery. My new dual -band rig only requires 8.5 A to TX @ full power, and mid- and low- powers much less. This unit ought to fill the bill for away- from- the- shack emerg. ops; the cost is so reasonable it seems crazy not to buy it! 73, KD7KNC

+5VSB
Ridgecrest,
+5VSB is right around the corner from +3VSB, on the same edge as the AC mains. Didn't test it, but I did run a line out from +5. Thanks for the tip!

Great little power supply for animation.
It is listed as a Micro ATX power supply modified for +12 VDC only. Upon opening it up, I found that it is fully populated with components. The modification is just leaving out all of the other wires that would normally come out to connectors, and grounding the PS-ON line. The sticker on the side says: +5V @ 30A, +3.3V @ 20A, +12V @ 12A, -12V @ 0.8A, +5VSB @ 2A. Internally the SB is +3.3V, not +5V. I brought out wires for the +5V and +3.3V. They work!
