I have quite a few of the older version of these, same specs but mine are encase in extruded aluminum enclosures. They are quite a powerful little power supply! The ones I have do generate quite a lot of heat, even with very little load applied. Maybe they fixed that issue with this version, thus the plastic enclosure. I was going to try to connect several of mine together in series to make 30 or 45 volts output, but was not able to get any voltage reading with 2 connected in series. Maybe the neutral (Or "Return") is ground-referenced inside the case or something. In any case, these supplies are designed for rough service in a warehouse or manufacturing facility, for charging batteries on handheld scan-guns. I have seen some very beat up, but still working fine!
