Control 12 Vdc devices using keychain on/off remote switch. Ideal for automotive applications, but can also be adapted to home use with the addition of a 12 Volt relay. Black-box receiver switches 12 Vdc loads up to 6 Amps when prompted by two-button keychain transmitter control. Receiver is 2.5" x 1.8" x 0.9" thick. Operates on small 12V alkaline batteries VR22/CN22/CN23A (our CAT# BAT-27). Includes two keychain transmitters with batteries and hook-up diagram. Also available in 15 Amp load version - see our CAT# RC-11.

I purchased 10 of these modules. Great range of operation. Only draw back is that the frequency will be jammed if 2 or more remotes are pressed at the same time. In other words these modules can operate by pressing only one button of one remote at a time. I tried changing the module's address, but operation is still the same.

unit stopped working - changed battery now ok
had these for a few years, they stopped working.
put in new 12V (27A) battery and they are fine.
when wiring make sure red is 12v in, white is 12v out or reference the spec sheet:

hacked it for lag switch
Out of the box, it draws power from the device it switched on and off, this is very poorly designed as the onboard relay can be rewired to draw power seperately from what it switched on and off. I used it to make a lag switch but it becomes much more practical once this mod is made because it can still be used in the original manner if desired.
it does require some time, desoldering, and soldering, but its worth it.
