Defond. S.P.D.T., center-off rocker switch. Rated 15 Amps, 125 VAC. Prepped with a 10 Amp, 400 Volt diode between the two switching terminals. Diode is soldered on one end and wrapped on the other with no solder. Switch is designed for snap-mounting in 1.15" x 0.5" rectangular cutout. Gray rocker, black bezel. UL, CSA.

I suspected based on the previous review that the reason for the lack of smooth operation was the lack of the usual internal grease on a rocker switch. I took one apart and the grease is in there alright, but the post that goes down from the grey part and rides on the contact, has a very sharp point, and the rocker contact has a big enough dimple in it to give this excess resistence. I layed a file on the desk and rounded the sharp center post to about the size of a BB. Presto!!! Much better action. It was worth the five minutes per switch as these exactly match the interior in my ride. I will be ordering more.

great looking switch
The rocker action on some of the ones I recived were not as silky smooth as would be nice, but once mounted they are fine.
A big plus is that they look very OEM in automotive aplications and they mount well in standard dash plastic material.
The diode, once solderd at the other end, makes for a great way to make an overide switch for accesories in your truck because of their ability to switch on circuts without back feeding to the rest of the system. Very handy.
