35W solar + 12AH lead acid gel
2/6/2009, Works great. Output shuts down when battery drops below 11.5V to avoid discharge too deep. From there takes full day to charge back full (neighbor's tree blocks few hours in the afternoon). Beware of blown fuse(on the load side)!! In that case, the charging voltage might be too high with high sun.

great controller
As advertised. Great. Solar Instructor using for charging lessons. Used a Siemens 75W at 17Voc and 4.4Isc with no problems to charge 12v batteries from 1.3 ah to 33ah. Works great!! High School and Adults students used it with ease without the manual even. Charging circuit good. Red led flashes at a faster and faster rate as you reach Pmax. 14.7 peak charging voltage I measured with the Siemens 75W panel.
Buy if you need one!!!!

Excellent controller
I got this controller to build the solar charger in the July 2007 issue of Popular Science, and it's working exactly as it should! I'm very happy with it.

SOL4UCN2+Solar Panels+Electric Bike Motor +Blac Ro
Taking Solar power to another Level.
After the success using the SOL4UCN2 with my Solar panels and Yamaha P60 in 2006.
I have a new Challenge for 2007.
Two electric motors for my Black Rose Beach Cruiser Chopper Bike. Extra Solar panels for each motor Total 4x Solar Panels + two SOL4UCN2.Voltage Controllers
The electric Motors have two 12volt 12 amp batteries in each motor.
If I was able to play all day long in the summer with One Set of the Velleman Briefcase Panels and a 12volt 4amp batterie.
In theory I should be able to ride this bike powerd by the sun all day long.
Ill follow up this review after tests.

SOL4UCN2+ SOL8Panels + 12v 7amp batterie + YAMAHA
I have now tested the following equipment: SOL4UCN2+ SOL8Panels + 12v 7amp batterie + YAMAHA P60 Piano Keyboard. Conclusion:, I am going to add more Solar Panels to increase the current, so I can run this equipment without draining the Batterie. Hope this is helpful to anyone out there.
