Do you have Squirrels in your Attic ?
Connect a couple of these on a power supply and a timer. Set it to run at night, and your squirrel problem will go away. Squirrels hate strobe lights.

Re Strobes on Motor Vehicles
The only strobes prohibited from the general population in the US are those that are red or blue front facing, So the individual from Canada is incorrect.

Since this is a strobe light, it's use unfortunately is prohibited, in most states and provices in the USA and Canada, on motorcycles and vehicles expecially if the strobe is contineous. It is only allowed for use in emergency situations.
