24-Watt Transformer
Again, a very well made transformer, by CES. It can pump out watts; 6VAC @ 4A or 12VDC at 2A.

Incorrect Specification on Current rating
It is a well built Step Down transformer with secondary tapping of 6V-0V-6V @4Amp. The current description (TX-124: 12VCT 4A POWER TRANSFORMER) is little misleading. The transformer is capable of delivering 4 Amp current only when it is used as 6V mode (one possibility is to connect with two diodes as full wave rectifier). However, while attempting to create a 12V power supply (by omitting the CT and using a four diode bridge rectifier connecting the two end points of the secondary tapping) it delivers only 2 Amp (max) current which is expected from the actual configuration.
Suggested Modified Description: 12VCT 2A POWER TRANSFORMER; Can also be used as 6V 4A POWER TRANSFORMER; Secondary tapings are: 6V-0V-6V @ 4 Amp.
