Snap-action switches are momentary switches that respond in a tactile or "snappy" style to a physical pressure from movement or weight ie. a door opening, a cam turning, a lever moving. Manufactured by Microswitch, Cherry, Honeywell, Burgess, Defond, Zippy and other companies, these switches frequently have levers or rollers that respond to motion or pressure. Sizes range from standard to miniature, sub-miniature, with solder or quick-connect terminals.
