It works fine but measures 7.75 VDC, at least the one I used. Beware it may not meet spec. It replaced the 8 VDC regulator in the instrument cluster of my Pathfinder. The fuel gauge is now reading lower than the stock regulator.
I used the +8 and -8 regulators to make a +8.7/-8.7 supply. I redid the supply using a variable to get +9/-9 and took the +8/-8 down to 8 volts, and added extra +8 and +9. Some of the stomp box guitar effects sounded especially great with a dying battery and these can simulate a dying battery. I can get better prices elsewhere, but with the free shipping on orders over $75, it offsets the cost. I usually buy 2 or 3 cheap parts when I need one, just in case one is out of spec.
