Despite the warning from the previous comment and inclusion of a fast blow fuse ahead of the transformer, the first time I powered it on, of course I misplaced a jumper on my breadboard causing a direct short. Blew both fuses actually. With a dremel, chisel, hammer, and approx 5 minutes I was able to crack the case and extract the raw transformer, so I was able to keep working with a few connector mods. The unit on a whole seem pretty decent quality though.
I use these for feeding CCTV security cameras that have unusually long runs of wire. AC will feed to out buildings, & across large facilities, & very large homes. Generally the hard drive or tape bays do not care what signal they get, so long as it is ATSC, NTSC, PAL, or something standard for which it was made.
