Product Description
Iota Engineering # DLS-30.
Two-stage charger/power supply widely used in RV, Solar, Electric Vehicle and Telecommunications industries. Delivers its full-rated current when the battery capacity falls sufficiently low. As the battery nears its full capacity, it automatically drops the current, providing a float-charge to prevent self-discharge of the cells.

• Designed to withstand low transient AC line voltage
• Input voltage: 108-132 Vac
• Current limit and thermal/overload protection
• External reverse polarity fuse protection from incorrect battery connection
• Modular plug jumper converts it to 14.2V fast charger - for temporary use only
• Fan-cooled
• Multiple supplies can be connected in series or parallel for higher voltage or current
• Compatible with the IOTA IQ4 Charge Controller (not included)
• Wall-mountable
• Screw-clamp output terminals, up to AWG 4 cable
• Overall dimensions: 9.67" x 6.7" x 3.4"
• 18" AC power cord w/ 0.25" qc terminals

Solid Power Supply for Amateur Radio Use

Reviewer: from Portland, Oregon

Several other hams have used its larger IOTA DLS-55 cousin so I gave this one a try.

It's early days, but it's well-built, quiet, and a good price.

Another HAM radio supply application and comment

Reviewer: from Cleveland, Ohio

Based on the first reviewer (thank you) I bought this unit for the same application. It appeared clean and new although I did discover a cut lead at a resistor inside with no explanation. However the unit seemed to operate per spec. It does not have a power switch, which I found needed and was able to add a toggle switch easily through the cover to 1/4" qc terminals on the PCB. Another desired feature would be a meter to readout voltage and current. All Electronics unfortunately did not have something suitable, but I found an ideal thing on Amazon "DC 5-120V 100A Mini Digital Current Voltage Amp Meter Ammeter Gauge with Hall Effect Sensor Transformer". Mounted externally and remotely it can alternate between readings nicely (make sure to add a small fuse in its voltage leads.)
