very temporary fix

I used product to recoat rubber buttons in remote control whose carbon had worn off. Prepped surfaces with alcohol. Worked fine for few months, then flaked off and flakes caused buttons to stay "on". Might work on some surfaces or with surface abrasion or other special prep?
