Contains two-transistor multivibrator running at ~192 Hz. This drives an H-Bridge of 4 transistors (NPN silicon bipolar parts). Power to the H-Bridge is through the center (blue) wire. Voltage to multivibrator is through the red wire.
Making the following connections will power up the unit, wire colors below are in order as they exit one side of the device. Voltages are just some sample values that worked to power up the device.
white: connect to ground
white: output of one leg of h-bridge
blue: power to h-bridge transistors (+12V)
blue: output of other arm of h-bridge
red: power to multivibrator circuit that drives the h-bridge (+12V)
With no load connected to h-bridge, current through red wire is ~6.5 mA
All parts mounted on ceramic circuit board, thick film resistors (embedded) and discreet capacitors. Easy to take apart. Board is encapsulated in soft rubber compound. It is well made, but what to use it for?
