This battery is an excellent deal. I've been using it for over two months now with my digital camera through its adapter port. Also, my battery life has increased nearly ten fold and it's much more cost effective than buying the AA Nickel Metal Hydride cells the camera typically uses. If you can get a good deal on a charger (ebay) and you don't mind carrying around a little extra weight, this is definitely the battery for you!
I ordered 4 of these batteries to replace old ones in two UPSs. Of the 4 I bought, 2 were bad and had to be returned. EDITORS NOTE: These are factory new batteries and we get very few bad batteries from the factory. We have shipped hundreds of these with no problem.
I have a Camcorder that uses a 6V battery, the going price was over $50 to replace. Instead, I bought two of these. I spliced the battery charger/AC adapter cable that came with the camera using the CON-210 connectors and added the same ones to the batteries. I charge these with the camcorder charger, after I checked it out.
The recording that I do is of my daughters soccer games, with the camcorder on a tripod, the battery sits on the ground, so weight is not an issue. Cord is long enough that I can keep the battery in a backpack and use the camcorder with minimal arm fatigue.
Battery much heavier than the original one and doesn't fit the camera, but lasts much longer and is much cheaper.
