I purchased a bunch of these as I am always installing 60mm fans into random projects I build. They fit around my fans as described in the picture above but I'm not really sure how they are supposed to quiet the fan when the rubber doesn't contact the mounting surface? Vibration noise is typically transmitted through the surface the fans are mounted to. There is nothing wrong with them however I would like to see a pic describing how these should be used to help reduce noise.
