I bought two of these, and put them them in some really old Bose enclosures. They just happened to be a nearly direct fit, so it worked out pretty well. The bass response is fairly good, especially considering the size of these things. They are also heavy for the size. I think these would really sound great from a small quarter wave transmission line enclosure. If you do a google search for that, you should be able to find some info on transmission line enclosures.
The Rolled Foam Edge went bad on one I used before. I'm going to coat it with 3M Contact Cement this time. All woofer speakers go bad eventually Dependiing on age and how loud you play them. (the suspension is the problem)
