Product Description
This little device converts 3.7 Volts to approximately 18,000 Volts. The main component in a taser/ stun gun, it creates quite a spark and a loud crackling noise when the probes are within 1/2" inch of each other. 1.35" x 1.55" x 0.31". The output leads have pointed probes attached. Applications for this device, other than self-defense, include an ignition source for a gas grill or model rocketry or a crackling sound effects generator. Our Lithium-ion polymer battery, CAT# LBAT-1801 is ideal for powering this device.

Warning: Please operate this carefully to avoid injury to yourself or others. This device was designed to safely disable an attacker by inflicting an electric shock. Do not touch probes to yourself or others when power is applied.

WOW, Impressive

Reviewer: from Torrance, CA

First of all this is NOT a toy, the high voltage could injure someone and in the wrong place & conditions maybe kill someone.

This baby takes a good 4 amps of current at around 3.7V. Please be sure your LiPo battery can handle the current. The sparks are impressive and loud. The spark does not light paper on fire, but it does a great job of punching little holes in the paper.

With a minimum of 3 amps at 2.4V I was able to just get the module to work; however the spark was not as impressive. With lower current limits it just won't work, but I did not test to find the exact point.

powerful

Works fine with a couple AA batteries. Hurts when you accidentally touch the probes!

Makes a cool Jacobs Ladder with extended, straight metal probes. NOT A TOY.
