First of all this is NOT a toy, the high voltage could injure someone and in the wrong place & conditions maybe kill someone.
This baby takes a good 4 amps of current at around 3.7V. Please be sure your LiPo battery can handle the current. The sparks are impressive and loud. The spark does not light paper on fire, but it does a great job of punching little holes in the paper.
With a minimum of 3 amps at 2.4V I was able to just get the module to work; however the spark was not as impressive. With lower current limits it just won't work, but I did not test to find the exact point.
