Although automotive, RV, marine, and photovoltaic systems are referred to as "12 VDC", the batteries' float value is 13.8 V or 13.5 V for deep cell lead-acid types. Also, during recharge system voltages of 14.5 V are common. Choose the value of Rlimit to reflect the higher values so these very nice indicators will last a long time.
