An OK iron but: (1) The plating on the tip would not "tin", used power wire wheel to remove the plating on the tip area and tined bare copper with paste flux and 60/40 rosin core solder. (2) Also the iron will grossly over heat , 800 degrees plus, and rune your tinning job. I use a basic light dimmer to control the irons power and thereby its heat output.
