great timer, soldered in nicely on breadboard, very great for playing with because it wont break if you give it an extra volt or two.

Great 555

I love the 555 timer. One thing i might suggest is that when you use speaker that isn't peizo always put a 10µF elcectrolytic cap at pin three(output) and then the speaker. Otherwise it will not work! That has nothing to do with this timer specifically but that's just a general tip.

This is your standard 555 chip. I use them often for oscilators and timing devices. Very useful and reliable. One of the best known chips in existence.
