Wouldn't get this again. The probe is ok, and the tip is sharp, but the cable connecting to the alligator clip is really thin and looks like it would break by looking at it for too long. It appears to me to be around 22 or 24 ga hookup wire. I will not be surprised if it fails on the first use.
Also, don't confuse this with a small penlight type probe tester. This is the size of a full size screwdriver with mostly a lot of air space in the handle.
For a piece of test equipment, I could see needing to test it each time before use to make sure it doesn't introduce more confusion into troubleshooting a low voltage system. I got it for my automotive tool box. We'll see how it holds up.
