Battery charger
I'm using the charger now almost constantly for radio battery packs and loose AAA cells in a holder, and am quite satisfied.

The assembly was fairly simple. The instructions, printed in many different languages, are clear and easy to follow. All of the axial leaded parts (the resistors and diodes) are packed on one tape, and the resistors are packed in order of installation. There's only one adjustment needed once it's assembled, to set the charge timer.

The battery pack voltage can be set in 1 cell (1.2v) increments from 1.2 to 9.6 volts, and charging current is set to 1/10 the battery capacity in mAh, from 15 to 800 milliamps. When you connect the batteries and press the start button, it automatically runs a discharge cycle and starts charging. The timer shuts it down after 14 hours or 52 minutes, so you don't cook your batteries. It's suitable for NiCd and NiMH batteries which can be charged using a constant current method.

The charger comes with screw terminals and a 9v battery snap for connection, and requires a DC wall wart that puts out 15vdc into an 800 mA load (tip positive).
