I was hesitant to purchase at first due to lack of datasheet. Product works well and the range is about 1 inch oriented in any direction relative to each other. Wires can be attached underneath the cover of one of the pieces onto screw terminals and the mounting screws are hidden on both pieces. Physical dimensions are 2.5"x0.5" for the cover for both pieces with the screw centers being 2 inches apart.

These have a very good sensing range, about 1 inch. I like the neat appearance with the covers that hide the screws
