The plastic used on the pin housing is not as temperature resistant as those I bought nearly 40 yrs ago. Good care must be taken with any component with a heatsink. It WILL melt the plastic quickly!
This is probably the highest-quality breadboard I've worked with yet! (I've worked with quite a few.) It seems to do better with screw terminals as the holes seem to be tighter and accommodate a bigger range of wire diameters. (I'm not exactly always nice to my breadboards.) The only complaint I have is that it comes with hard plastic feet... They don't have any grip on a smooth surface. I would recommend buying five rubber/vinyl stick-on feet for this which are at least .265" tall. (1/4 inch or so)
