This connector DOES NOT have the usual 4 round holes for soldering the braid to the connector. Instead it has 2 square holes opposite of each other that are 5x3 mm. In 45 years of hamming I have never seen this. I am reluctant to used them especially with their UG-176- see review.

Cheap PL-259 connector

The connector is OK for "normal use" even if it has a cheap feeling.It is a cast, not machined. Be aware it is made of some low temperature material and I melted one when I soldered with a torch. The soldering hole are two square not the usual four round ones.
