I needed a 0 - 3V voltmeter, so I removed the (external) ammeter shunt and added a series resistor to make it into a voltmeter. The full-scale current of the meter movement is about 9.2 mA, and the resistance is about 8.1 Ohms. The meter can be mounted in a 2.5 inch round hole in the panel. I found the linearity to be perfect over the entire range.
