The bent leads make it perfect for experiment projects using a breadboard (they fit right in with no adjustment). Not sure how they fit in standard circuit board. In the order that I received, the PNP comes with straight leads and the NPN comes with bend lead. Either way, they both work for me.

This is what the transistor looks like.... certainly not like what is pictured on the store webpage. http://www.laureanno.com/RC/MFnew7.jpg.....Editors Note: We get product from different sources. The current stock is as you describe, with the bent leads, but we usually have the straight leads.
