This speaker is not high-fidelity, but it is loud, and makes a great communications extension speaker for 2-way radios, or a paging speaker for small areas in an office or warehouse. The tough little plastic box has 2 small screw holes centered at the top and bottom of the base mounting plate that line up perfectly with a standard switch/receptacle type electrical box, also can be suspended by conduit into rear knockout. Will not fit a standard quad or octagon box, but recep box mount is good. Could be drilled to fit an octagon box as well, or just mount to the wall.
