The product description misses the best feature of these rulers--that the imperial side includes decimal graduations. Since most PCB layout (in the USA, anyway) is done in mils ( .001 "), one is forever making measurements of components in decimal fractions of an inch. Most metal rules I have seen do not have these graduations on them. While a pair of calipers is still needed for some measurements, a ruler like this makes these measurements very easy. For instance, lead spacing on capacitors are most often .100", .200", etc, and this can be quickly verified with this ruler.
A bargain at $2 each.
