Cover does not fit - without some assistance. 3 out of 5 stars

Reviewer: from COON RAPIDS, MN US

The boxes I have ordered have all suffered from ill fitting covers.

It seems that the plastic these things are wrapped in compresses the sides of the at the top of the case to the point that the cover will not fit properly. ( Note the cover is NOT screwed down but simply placed loosely on the case.)

Luckily I had purchased the project board that is designed for this case. After placing the board in the case the sides spread out enough to get the cover on.

After a few days I removed the proejct board and screwed the cover in place to retain the shape of the case. This seems to help alot.

I'll order more but I'll make sure that I have a proper project board for each case size

Straightening box sides 3 out of 5 stars

Reviewer: from Colorado Springs CO

I recently ordered several of these, and dealt with the bent sides issue as follows. I made two spacers out of 1/8 inch plywood, long enough to force into the box across length and width, just long enough to bow the sides outward about as much as they were bowed inward. Width of each spacer was about half the width of the sides it spanned. I heated a pot of water to just below boiling, and immersed a box in it for 4 to 5 minutes. When I removed the box, I shoved in the spacers (easier to do when the plastic is hot) and then let it cool. The sides were much straighter after removing the spacers and the lid now fit well. If the sides still aren't straight enough, repeat with slightly longer spacers. I just wrapped bits of duct tape across one end of a spacer to make it longer - much easier than trying to cut the spacers exactly right.

Board sits up very high 4 out of 5 stars

Reviewer: from Sheridan County, WY, USA

My boxes arrived and the aluminum cover fits OK. But the PC board is mounted up high - there is only about 0.345" between the cover and board. So don't plan to mount switches on the cover and have enough space for the board beneath. Rather, use the plastic box to hold switches, or cut off the two board mounts lower.
